So, global warming is real, but what can I do, really?
You can do a lot more than you think- every little bit DOES help! Besides, it makes you feel good. Some suggestions;

1) If you live in the "developed" world, be grateful in knowing that having a roof over your head and 3 meals a day makes you ultra fortunate and a minority on this planet.

2) Consider a smaller, more fuel efficient vehicle- check out what they're whipping up in Hawai'i.

3) Simply use the sun to dry a load of clothes... and even consider installing solar panels on your roof. You can also make a huge difference just by changing a light bulb.

4) Be a tree-hugger. Insist on the cessation of junk mail.

5) Of course, always reduce, reuse and recycle.

6) Support industrial hemp.

7) Seriously consider a plant-based diet. An outrageous amount of energy is wasted to feed us animals.

Did you know that, combined, the U.S. and Canada use about twice as much energy per capita as Europeans, 10 times more than Asians, and 20 times more than Africans? The U.S. alone uses more than one-fourth of the worlds oil. By one estimate, the average American will, in a lifetime, consume 62,000 pounds of animal products, 55,000 pounds of plant foods, 770 tons of minerals, and the energy equivalent of 4,000 barrels of petroleum. --National Geographic Society
..."Cutting the average household's meat consumption (both red meat and poultry) in half would reduce food-related land use and common water pollution by 30 and 24 percent, respectively. Replacing beef with grains and produce... can significantly improve the environment... People can also help the environment by buying organic foods." --The Consumers Guide to Effective Environmental Choices - Union of Concerned Scientists

Proposed CO2 dumping in Hawai'i cancelled! The Pacific International Center for High Technology Research (PICHTR) is still planning on continuing their "research" off the coast of Norway, however- please let your elected reps know you are opposed.

Read some answers to questions from the public from PICTHR (the mad scientists) that want to perform the experiment.
